Why Church? Part 3
Acts 2:42-47 NKJV
42 And they continued steadfastly in the apostles’ doctrine and fellowship, in the breaking of bread, and in prayers. 43 Then fear came upon every soul, and many wonders and signs were done through the apostles. 44 Now all who believed were together, and had all things in common, 45 and sold their possessions and goods, and divided them among all, as anyone had need. 46 So continuing daily with one accord in the temple, and breaking bread from house to house, they ate their food with gladness and simplicity of heart, 47 praising God and having favor with all the people. And the Lord added to the church daily those who were being saved.

Hebrews 10:24-25 NKJV
24 And let us consider one another in order to stir up love and good works, 25 not forsaking the assembling of ourselves together, as is the manner of some, but exhorting one another, and so much the more as you see the Day approaching.
Consider one another. This verse is talking about the church the local, assembled church.
In verse 24, the word consider speaks of attentive, continuous
care. The expectation is to take careful note of each other’s
spiritual welfare.
V. 24: Stir up love and good works in others.
In 10:25, the word forsaking means to let down, to abandon their attendance at meetings.
Parents—don’t let your kids decide church attendance.
16 of the 29 parables Christ told were about a person and their money.
1. Lower risk of depression

God organized Judaism. Jesus organized the church, also known
as His Church.
The apostles, under the direction of the Holy Spirit, gathered new Christian converts into congregations and appointed elders and deacons that devoted themselves to the apostles’ doctrine, fellowship, the breaking of bread, and prayer.
The New Testament assumes membership in a local congregation. In the Bible, the only Christians who were not members of the local fellowship were those under church discipline who had been removed because of gross public sin.
1. The meaning and purpose of life
2. To feel loved and appreciated
Romans 12:6 NKJV
6 Having then gifts differing according to the grace that is given to us, let us use them: if prophecy, let us prophesy in proportion to our faith;
It’s a good time for you to become a member.
Esther 4:14 NKJV
14 For if you remain completely silent at this time, relief and deliverance will arise for the Jews from another place, but you and your father’s house will perish. Yet who knows whether you have come to the kingdom for such a time as this?”
Every believer needs to get into a local church and get busy helping build His Church.
