Happy, Part 1

Happy, Part 1

Happy Father’s Day

I Corinthians 11:3 NKJV
3 But I want you to know that the head of every man is Christ, the head of woman is man, and the head of Christ is God.

Hebrews 13:17 NKJV
17 Obey those who rule over you, and be submissive, for they watch out for your souls, as those who must give account. Let them do so with joy and not with grief, for that would be unprofitable for you.

1. To watch out for the souls of his wife and children
2. To give an account to God of how well he did his job

Wives, your husband has the right to talk to you about your issues—lovingly, tenderly.

It is profitable to the whole family when the father is in his
rightful place—honored and respected and obeyed.

Ephesians 6:2-3 NKJV
2 “Honor your father and mother,” which is the first commandment with promise: 3 “that it may be well with you and you may live long on the earth.”

If the wife will look to her husband as the head of the home, responsible to God, there is a benefit of peace, harmony, and honoring one another.

One of the great benefits to harmony between the husband and wife is that their prayers are answered, not hindered.

I Peter 3:7 NKJV
7 Husbands, likewise, dwell with them with understanding, giving honor to the wife, as to the weaker vessel, and as being heirs together of the grace of life, that your prayers may not be hindered.

What will make fathers happy? To be truly honored.

Matthew 13:57 NKJV
57 So they were offended at Him. But Jesus said to them, “A prophet is not without honor except in his own country and in his own house.”

Matthew 13:58 NKJV
58 Now He did not do many mighty works there because of their unbelief.

Honor means high respect, or great esteem. Some synonyms are
satisfaction, joy, pleasure, and happiness.

To not honor someone is to not value them. If you don’t value someone, you lose your affection for that person.

Let’s make our dads happy and let’s value them; doing so is to our benefit.

Matthew 6:21 NKJV
21 For where your treasure is, there your heart will be also.

Everyone said it had value, but only a few saw its real value.
